Phase II Study of Azacitidine in Combination With Gemtuzumab Ozogamicin for Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia
The purpose is to estimate the overall response rate of patients with relapsed and refractory non-M3 acute myeloid leukemia treated with azacitidine in combination with gemtuzumab ozogamicin.

Adults = 18 years of age must have:
•Morphologically confirmed AML
•Failed to achieve a complete remission to inductions therapy or have relapsed disease
•Performance status of either 0, 1 or 2 by ZUBROD criteria
The study involves three phases of treatment: induction therapy, consolidation and maintenance therapy. During induction, you will receive injections of azacitidine and you will receive gemtuzumab ozogamicin intravenously. If your disease is in remission, you will move on to consolidation therapy, and you will receive the same treatment you received during induction. If you are eligible for maintenance therapy, you will receive injections of azacitidine.
