Loyola University Hospital Tower

Enhancing the Loyola Experience

Patient comfort and convenience was at the heart of planning for the expansion of the  Loyola University Hospital Tower and the William G. & Mary A. Ryan Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine. The $103 million hospital expansion includes 12 new operating rooms and 64 private hospital rooms. The first phase of construction was completed in spring 2008.

New Renovations Continue to Be Unveiled

With the opening of the new Loyola University Hospital Tower, Phase 2 renovations in the existing hospital already are underway. The McGaw lobby near the gift shop is the new patient discharge area and features a lounge for well patients awaiting transportation home. The area features a flat screen TV and comfortable chairs.

By the end of October, the hospital will have four additional heart and vascular pre- and post-operative procedures rooms and 15 additional surgical admitting center rooms on the first floor.
